This is unscientific and dangerous quackery. It is basic electrolysis and relies on poor science education and lack of critical thinking ability to fool people. The water becomes discoloured because the iron and/or aluminium probes are being dissolved into the water NOT making visible what is actually IN the water. Most bottled waters contain salts and minerals which make them conductive. Distilled water is NOT conductive and therefore no electrolysis and no discolouration. Its a scam visual aid to sell water filters. By the way, the electrodes could give you a fatal shock if you touch them. See it debunked here https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ASnLL6ebaco by Big Clive. To the idiot posting this video .... ffs get some basic education will you? There are contaminants in our water supplies which are not conducive to health and which need sophisticated testing to measure. Fluoride, estrogens, antibiotics etc etc. This device is not 'measuring' anything, just depositing aluminium and iron into the test water.

Hi seedofchange , LOL FFS YOU ARE THE IDIOT HERE FOR FOLLOWING REASONS -did you even notice that it say`s "MAY" in the title ?. Next your link provided : he states that he uses filtered and unfiltered water , NOT DISTILLED WATER ! You mix up facts and your own reality / believe .So any discoloration in the test is not evaded by use of a water-filter , but still present in lower levels . If the electrodes would cause this effect it would take several hours at least to achieve this result not just 60 seconds , physically impossible to extract this quantity of contaminants of the electrodes in 60 seconds , since they are transferred /extracted on a molecular level !!. Next : the different discoloration is a reflection of various heavy metals and trace chemicals in suspension in the water , those are simply separated and become visible . Which is not happening with distilled water .Every tap or bottle water contains salts and minerals !!! I do not question at all that there are many other contamination's as you listed .Nor do i exclude the fact that scam artists use this as sales-pitch . Every electrolytic process has current in the medium used , so if the person using it is to fucking dumb and touches the contacts he should learn the rules of the game first !! So learn some science yourself , check it with qualified sources as i did ,( it helps if you have a mate that works in a laboratory , lol ) rather than declaring BS were it is not .By the way enjoy drinking your distilled water , by the time you throw up because your body cant handle the lack of salts you may figure it out .If not take a color chart out of a real science journal and compare what the test result colors mean , in case you have so much critical thinking and science left stay safe Fredy

Before you point your accusing finger .... look at where the other three are pointing. Then Google 'electrolysis' and pay attention for five minutes and you will see through this scam ....
