Masks DO help prevent those who are infected from infecting others. Of course masks on non infected people simply magnify any infection that non mask-wearers breathe on you since every breath feeds more of what is on your mask toyour body. So all infected people have to wear masks - even before they know they are infected. Therefore it is obvious that everyone should wear masks when they are in close contact with others. So the government is entirely right to request mask wearing.

It's now early December 2020. At my hospital in NE England we had a modest second wave but the rolling 7 day average of daily deaths from Covid 19 barely got above 2. We have recently seen a sharp fall in numbers of patients in critical care from 18 to 12 and this is before the effect of the second lockdown would be manifest. The profile of patients in hospital mainly includes those with obesity or the very elderly with other illnesses. Myself and my colleagues are taking vitamin D supplements and are not unduly concerned about the virus. This disease does seem to be burning itself out.

From what I know about viruses and how they spread, COVID19 is not having a hard time finding new people to infect, it is having a hard time finding new people that are unhealthy enough to have a deadly reaction. Prior to the Polio virus almost all people were infected with the Polio Virus, but only 28% showed any symptoms, only 4% were severe cases. With the numbers they are describing, only a very few people will have escaped exposure/infection, but like Polio the significant majority will show no symptoms.

Sometimes I think they just get a 'tingle up the leg' by looking around and seeing everyone obey.

They can sell vaccines for billions of dollars. Some of these companies buy mainstream media and politicians and judges. They have too much money and too much power.
